Ancient Belief of Brahmanism
Brahmanism is the early religion of the Indians and it included many nature deiti which the Indians worshipped most. They made holy sacrifices to the deiti offering animals through the holy fire. They also read ancient rules and prayers in four books called the Vedas. The Big Vedas is the most important. Indians also wrote about their ancient history in Mahabarata, which was a grand poem that retold legends. The Bhagavad Gita was part of Mahabarata.
Ancient Belief of Hinduism
The Bhagavad Gita was mportant for Hinduism which was a major religion, and was devoloped from Brahmanism. Hinduism is reconsidered to be polytheistic but people recognized one supreme God which had the main link through the rest of the gods. Brahma was the superior God and was known for The Creator. Two other gods; Vishnu, The Protector and Shiva, The Destroyer; were almost as important as Brahma. Hinduism also believed in karma, which depends on your reactions to the outer world which makes the outer world respond to your reactions and also they believed in reincarnation where you have another life after your death in another body.
