Rates, Ratios, and Proportions 6.RP.1-3
1.How does this assignment relate to the standard?
Students can identify and understand ratios, ratio language, and know how to use it for two quantities. Students can understand unit rates, and know that it always has a 1 on its ratio. Students can solve and understand problems with unit rates and problems with ratio language. This assignment relates to the standard since I solved problems with ratio languages and also using unit rates. I also took a quiz using proportions, unit rates, and ratios.
2.What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete this assignment was first, I took notes on proportions, unit rates, and ratios. Then, I answered examples of these type of question. Finally, I took the test. I
3.This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I can understand proportions, ratios, and unit rates. I can take a quiz or test and know what to do. I can use ratio language so that I can make examples. I can use proportions with fraction rates to solve problems. I can use ratios to help me on ratio language and I can use unit rates to solve problems easier.
4.I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could have improved on this assignment by putting more effort into the test and also showing more work. I also could have studied more so that I can get all the questions and example correct. I also could have review my notes before the test even more.
5.How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I would apply these skills to future classes and to the real world when I try to find the ratio from how much people can come in a party from the invitations I sent so I know how much food and drink I can buy. Also in class when we're doing a survey I can use ratios to see how much students surveyed, for example, to choose a party to the total students that surveyed.
