Surface Area Unit Project
1.How does this assignment relate to the standard?
Students are able to understand surface area. Students are able to create a rectangular prism net and find the surface area.This assignment relates to the standards since I am able to understand surface area and I can solve a problem related to it. It also relates to the standard since I completed to find the surface area of a 3 dimensional form net.
2.What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment were first, I got a worksheet that tells me what I can do to complete this assignment. Then, I found a box and cut it to form a net. Finally, I labeled each side into feets instead of inches and also showed my work of how I found the surface area of the box.

This assignment demonstrates that I can understand surface area and I can use it anytime, for example, when a teacher hands me a worksheet related to surface area I can complete it well. It also demonstrates that I can complete a real life project by using a net to find the surface area. Lastly, it demonstrates that I can find areas of a side and also add up all the areas I find.

I could have improved on this assignment by adding more decorations since it just looks plain. I also could have had a more difficult box to solve and also it could have been more neater. I also could have been more creative.
5.How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
How I would apply these skills I learned from this assignment into the real world or future classes when I am a agent and I try to find a size in a room so that I can inform the people that want to move in. Also when I try to figure out how much paper can fit in a box to be organized in class, I would need to find the surface area of the box and match it with the papers.
